The Fellows-in-Training (FiT) section seeks to support and help address the needs of fellows bound for or currently in advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology (AHFTC) or cardiothoracic surgery fellowships. We work closely with The Mentorship and Early Career (EC) groups to design and host Webinars that specifically address topics of particular interest to fellows and early career faculty, including academic development, job searches, and transitioning to faculty.

Fellows who participate in WiTMCS also have the opportunity to contribute to symposia proposals for conferences, which may include presentation opportunities (please see Education section), to participate in guidelines and position statements (Current Practice Reviews section) and to contribute to research efforts (Research section). The Mentorship section also hosts a mentorship-matching list to facilitate the identification of others with similar research interests at other institutions.
